NAME: Lizardstone
RANK: Warrior
AFFILIATION: AspenClan
IMMEDIATE KIN:
Longflight (mother)
Doveburr (father)
Barkfur (brother)
BASIC APPEARANCE: Solid brown tom with pale green eyes.
DETAILED APPEARANCE: A sleek, solid-brown tom with muted green eyes, Lizardstone doesn't draw too much attention. He blends in well with the browns of AspenClan's territory and fits in perfectly. It might seem that he is good at climbing with his very narrow frame, but it is actually the opposite because he struggles with vertigo at high heights.
PERSONALITY & DESCRIPTION: Lizardstone is all but unassuming. He's adventurous and creative while being respective of boundaries. He's teasing and cheeky without being insulting. He's fun to be around without being destructive and reckless. He likes being the center of attention and being the one to crack all the jokes. He seems like the normal, perfect tom that can be found anywhere, and that's exactly how he wants to be seen. Perfection is an unattainable ideal, however, and the brown tom knows this achingly well. He acts in his idea of perfection in the hopes that he might one day be the perfect cat. The problem is that he knows his line of thinking is illogical, yet he can't stop himself from trying to attain it anyway. Hidden away in a quiet place in his mind is the proneness to feeling inadequate—that he'll never be enough or never amount to anything. He dreams of being special in a reality where he's anything but. He has no special talents and he's not smarter than anyone else; even his pelt matches the color of dirt. This apparent depreciation might lead to dangerous paths in the future, but Lizardstone's potent passiveness gives a good sense that he won't cross any lines. He is so tentative that he doesn't seem to want to fight for anything at all. He has his own mind, but he's so focused on trying to be appealing that he fails to commit. He fails to make important decisions when they are needed. He's so worried about appearances that he doesn't stop to take himself in and evaluate the harm he's doing to himself. He doesn't stop to think that he doesn't need to be special to be individualistic, nor does he allow himself to consider his positive aspects. The cat he appears to be is a front to hide his inner struggles. He might need more than a few reminders of his worth, but Lizardstone does enjoy the interactions he has with his clanmates. Even if he tries to be who he isn't, the warmth he expresses is genuine and truly a representation of himself. Self-appreciation is the most important thing he needs to learn, and surely then he'll understand that he's already everything he needs to be.
