(Feel free to bring whatever character you’d like. Note that you can only post with a certain clan once that leader posts.)
WC:
Despite being at several gatherings as WillowClan’s leader, Shrikestar still couldn’t get used to actually leading the clan there. He still wasn’t used to standing with the other leaders. He wasn’t used to addressing the cats of all the clans. If he was told when he was younger that his future would have turned out the way it did, he wouldn’t have believed it. There were so many more cats worthy of it. The mistakes he made weighed on him like a boulder, and he saw no way out of them, should they be revealed. As far as he knew they never would be, so maybe he was safe.
The climb up the High Cliff was long, like it always seemed to be, but he hardly noticed. He took the twists and turns of the path robotically, and the top of the tall plateau came into view. Bushes lined the edges of the drop off, and the moon was framed by twinkling silverpelt and the snow-topped mountains in the distance. Shrikestar waited until he was sure all of his clan made it up before he wandered over towards the large tree at the center.

WC:
Bayflower followed after Shrikestar eagerly, practically bouncing along the trail as he chatted eagerly with Marigoldflare about the gathering. It was strange, but awesome having his sister as his deputy. He never felt scared to talk to her about things. His pelt glowed in the light of the full moon, and he climbed up the plateau alongside his clanmates, stepping over to the tree alongside Shrikestar to wait for the other medicine cats.

WC: Bramblefur trailed along further behind, his eyes focused ahead. He hadn't been to the last gathering, and was excited to come along again, might getting the chance to talk to some cats he hadn't seen in a while. Boundaries have never bothered him all that much, and he was never worried about accidently spilling clan secrets, as he hardly got a word in edge-wise when it came to some cats he knew. He climbed up along with his clanmates, choosing a spot to settle down in.

Flareheart trotted in the middle of the Willowclan patrol, keeping far enough back from Shrikestar to not cause tension but still close enough to keep a watch on her brother. She didn't trust him and wanted to find a way to get him out of the way as quickly as possible. She flicked her gaze around and spotted Haywhisker, noting with amusement that his name fit him yet also made him seem more laid back, less dangerous than he actually was. She was sure he preferred it that way.
~
Dancingflame padded at the back of the patrol, not totally sure why she was even attending the gathering. Cherrypaw hadn't spoken to her since she revealed her daughters heritage, driving Dancingflame to basically spend all of her time on patrol after patrol, running herself ragged so she wouldn't stay awake fretting about how she had ruined her relationship with her only kit.
AC:
Echostar was a bit anxious, this was her first gathering as the new leader of Aspenclan and she wanted to present a united, strong front. She glanced behind her at the patrol as they came to a rest before cresting the hill that would reveal High Cliff. Taking a deep breath she pushed forward, her steps strong and purposeful, her gaze blank as she spotted cats already there, the scent of Willowclan wafting towards her. She resisted the urge to curl her lip as she realized she would be stuck with Shrikestar until Ashenstar arrived.
Arriving at the designated area, Echostar waited until she was sure everyone had arrived, paying close attention to Tinybreath as the blind she-cat climbed the last little hill. She turned towards the tree when she was sure everyone was safe, watching as some clanmates wandered over to interact with the Willowclan cats.
~
Tinybreath heaved in a breath as she felt her nose twitch, taking in the different scents around her. She knew she was at High Cliff but it was a different perspective that she was 'seeing' it now, letting her nose, ears, and taste paint the picture for her. She made her way thru the cats carefully, her whiskers twitching and tail weaving as she used them to help her make her way thru them. She found a spot, not sure how far she was from the tree. She hissed slightly as she slid down into a laying down position, tucking her tail close to her legs so it wouldn't be stepped on.

WILLOWCLAN: Chirpsong's pawstep's were soft, pressing into the earth as though she was afraid to take a step. The she-cat was unusually quiet tonight, the buzzing in her ears making her strangely nervous. She had been to gatherings before, but it felt different now that she was a warrior; it was almost enough that she wished she was walking beside her former mentor. She knew Haywhisker had come, and her eyes swept across the WillowClan cats, hoping to spot him. With her mind racing, she wouldn't even have minded if Cherrypaw was there, too.
ASPENCLAN:
It was all so very strange for Thistlemoon, to see so many cats and feel like this was her first time ever doing so. Her eyes were wide, taking everything in, her time with Tansyglow and Breezehowl getting her too used to the isolation. She hadn't attended more than a couple gatherings as an apprentice, and it was almost overwhelming. The she-cat almost stumbled when a couple warriors bumped her as they filed through, grumbling as she held them up, and she quickened her pace guiltily as she finally entered the clearing.

Adderdash had only been to one gathering before, and although he found the journey easier this time, it certainly wasn't easy. He was dead last in the procession, struggling to make his way up the steep slope without slipping. It was only Lizardstone's presence that kept him going. He wanted to turn back. He was such a burden, he didn't deserve this, he was so stupid... Thoughts swirled in his head as he struggled up the slope, finally collapsing onto his side as he reached the plateau, heaving for breath. He rapidly realized this wasn't a good look for a warrior of AspenClan, and he scrambled to his paws, sitting up and tucking his tail around his paws. "I made it," he muttered to Lizardstone. "I don't know why I wanted to come. That...was awful."

AC: Firefeather had stuck to the middle of the group, not wanting to get left behind. He climbed the plateau with relative ease, and wandered over towards some other cats, his red fur bright in the moonlight. He glanced around , looking for some other cats to talk to. He was only a little bit nervous about the new leader's presence, but he had faith that Echostar would do well. He already approved of how she wanted to present them and making sure they knew they were cared for by staying back.

Beanfallow was quiet as he followed not far behind Bayflower and his previous mentor Shrikestar, ears pricked as he looked out over the area they were gathering. His gaze trailed upwards towards the stars, for a moment reflecting on his mother, the first gathering he'd had as an apprentice where Darkfury had been so excited to have him see the other clans. He dropped his gaze back to the clearing before splitting off to be with his brother and look out for his mirror image.
AC:
Whispermoon was pretty used to the routine of gatherings, having had moons of them to know that tonight would probably be like most gatherings. News, words exchanged, then they'd all go home and sleep. She had chosen to stay back by Tinybreath, enjoying the blind she-cat's company and wit when they would talk. Brushing her tail tip against Tinybreath's side she settled next to the she-cat when they got to the top, watching the gathering cats begin to talk and murmur amongst themselves.
~
Jaggedpeak was a few tail lengths away from Echostar, his gaze flicking towards the tension in her shoulders as they entered the clearing. He followed her gaze towards Shrikestar and he narrowed his eyes. /Stupid mouse-brain.\ He thought as he sat at the edge of the clearing, let an icy stare settle on the WillowClan leader.

WC:
Cherrypaw kept her gaze to her paws. She trailed behind Bayflower, pointedly keeping her gaze away from Dancingflame. Despite the fact that Bayflower knew her secret, she couldn’t take solace in that fact, couldn’t take comfort in his words of assurance that she was as WillowClan as any other WillowClan warrior. Beanfallow, Chirpsong, and Haywhisker were nearby, she could see when she glanced upwards, but she couldn’t take solace from their proximity either. Nothing made her feel better. The path winded upwards, and it felt like no time at all before WillowClan crested the top of the cliff.
-
Pace even, shoulders relaxed, Haywhisker let the cool night air wash over him. His gaze scanned over every clanmate in front of him, and he was careful not to look at Flareheart too closely. They agreed to play it safe, if only to cover their tracks so no one suspected them of anything at all. The look of calm curiosity on his face was placed carefully—he learned quickly how to control his expressions no matter how he felt. It was becoming second-nature, especially since he still managed to feel almost nothing since Darkfury’s demise.
He saw WillowClan was first to arrive, and he paused as he looked over the clearing. He saw Shrikestar move towards the speaking tree, and his nose wrinkled. He pulled his gaze away as Beanfallow joined him, and he held his tail out so Cherrypaw and Chirpsong didn’t walk past him.
——
AC:
They were last, but Lizardstone didn’t mind. If anything, it put less stress on Adderdash with no one behind them. It also let him control his vertigo, especially when he accidentally looked out and saw just how high they were. He kept quiet as his friend toiled, not wanting to spoil his concentration. They reached the top a while after the rest of AspenClan did, and he waited ever-patiently as Adderdash caught his breath. “You wanted to come because you’re an AspenClan warrior. We need to participate in Gatherings.” He smiled warmly. “And look, you’re here now! If that doesn’t prove your strength, then you owe me a squirrel for putting yourself down again.”

Tinybreath purred at the touch of Whispermoon's tail tip, enjoying the company of the other she-cat, having gotten close with the medicine cat during the time she spent in the medicine den when she had lost her sight. "It's a different dynamic tonight, its always a new dance when a new leader is appointed" she commented, hearing all the murmuring around the two of them. She could pick up both Willowclan and Aspenclan but had yet to pick up any scent of Ravenclan so figured that they had a little bit before the gathering would start.
~
Echostar settled down near the tree, making sure to keep any sign of outward tension carefully put away, though she figured that those who knew her well could still see the tension in her. Otherwise, for cats in other clans they would just see a new leader, sitting and observing her clan interact with another. She caught sight of Jaggedpeak's glare aimed at Shrikestar and felt her whiskers twitch in amusement before she stilled them and let her gaze rove over her clan once more, ensuring that everything was okay with them.

RAVENCLAN:
Ashenstar's movements were slow but steady, her head held lower just to make the ascent. It was becoming more and more difficult to do so, but she blamed it on the steep incline more than anything. By the time she reached the top, she was almost out of breath, but pushed away the fatigue so that she may lead her Clan into the clearing, taking note that they were actually the last to arrive. Because of where the High Cliff was set, it should have been the opposite, but the RavenClan leader was unwilling to think about it too deeply. Padding closer to the leaders, she noticed a new arrival, and her meeting with Raggedtooth recently finally confirmed what she had been told--that AspenClan had a new leader. Feeling older than she ever had before, the thin she-cat moved to stand beside the two cats.

Cougarfang was excited to be going to his first gathering as a warrior, his tail was held high as he padded into the clearing, his gaze scanning around, looking at the other clans with interest. He had been to gatherings before but hadn't really interacted with other warriors, partly afraid and partly dismissed because he had been an apprentice.

Acorndrop travelled at the back of the group, helping those who were having difficulty climbing the slope. He wished Arcticpool or Dreamfeather would’ve come, but both were still in camp. At least Shimmerglade was here. He filtered into the clearing along with the others, instantly looking for Dancingflame as soon as he scented WillowClan. Maybe Cherrypaw would be here. His heart leapt when he spotted her grey pelt, and he bounded over, weaving through cats to reach her. “Dancingflame!” he called. “How are you? Is she here?”

WC:
Swiftbird carefully picked her way around several other cats, ears pricked and straining as she moved away from some of the louder cats and towards the front. Peering up at Shrikestar she gave him a quick smile before sitting down as close to the front without being in the way of the deputies as she could. Hearing at gatherings could be a problem with everyone talking, so she tended to prefer to be near the front that way once the leader's signaled for start she could easily hear.
RC:
Shimmerglade was quiet, following along at the back of the RavenClan group, her gaze swept over the clearing as they entered, noting that they were the last to arrive. Her gaze slid towards the leaders, surprise crossing her features as she noted Raggedstar was not there but instead Echofrost was.
Siltgaze gave a short gasp at the flood of colors that assaulted her eyes as she stepped into the clearing, closing her eyes against it for a moment. Gatherings were always the hardest for her, so many colors dancing around. Many were still gray, unknown to her other than the slight dance of their signature clan colors hanging on their pelts. Some though she was very familiar with from her time in WillowClan and then the shorter time in AspenClan camp. She drifted through the crowd, nodding at familiar faces with a small smile.

Raggedtooth walked with the patrol, managing to keep up for the most part, his good eye scanning everything out of habit. When they arrived, he noticed that RavenClan had not yet arrived and WillowClan was currently the only Clan in attendance. Many moons of having to deal with Clan politics as AspenClan's leader had taught him to school his features. While he was trying to move on from his past emotionally, he still felt a sense of bitterness toward WillowClan. Keeping close to Tinybreath, he settled down by her as he waited for RavenClan to arrive with Ashenstar at the lead.
It felt like most of the night had passed when they arrived, although it really wasn't more than a few minutes. He was careful to not appear to relieved to see Ashenstar lead her patrol into the clearing, as he debated whether it would be odd for him to approach the RavenClan leader. While it wouldn't be unreasonable that they would have developed a sense of familiarity as leaders, he was also retired now. Raggedtooth also considered that it might seem like leadership hadn't fully transitioned if the former leader of one of the Clans approached where the leaders gathered, thus putting unnecessary pressure on Echostar. With that in mind, he decided to stay back. Perhaps they would have a moment to speak after announcements.

The pace they were going was a little too slow for Coyotestorm. His paws itched to move faster, so he lagged behind the group and stopped occasionally just so that he could run to catch up. He did this several times until RavenClan ascended the path to the top of High Cliff. The scents of WillowClan and AspenClan hit him, and he realized RavenClan was the last one there. He tensed as he looked through the WillowClan warriors, not certain whether he wanted to see Beanpaw or Haypaw. He was afraid it would be too suspicious if they approached him, and so he made sure to head away from the WillowClan cats, planting himself firmly among RavenClan.

Larchpaw was close to Coalfur as they climbed the trail to High Cliff. She wasn’t even at the top and her stress sat heavy on her shoulders. Badgerpaw hadn’t come, and she regretted that her first gathering would be without him. The only cat she really knew was her mentor, and even then she wasn’t comfortable enough with him yet that she felt at ease.
They topped the cliff finally and then apprentice froze at the sheer amount of cats before her. It felt impossible. How could the cliff support so many? How would she not get lost? What if someone weird talked to her? What if she said the wrong thing?

WC:
Shrikestar’s lungs froze and his body tensed when AspenClan entered the clearing, and even more so when Echofrost was leading them in. No... it couldn’t mean... was she Echostar now? He spared her a quick, stiff glance before he looked away, gaze locked to his clan instead. He nodded at Bramblefur when he saw the tom, and he nodded again when he saw Swiftbird sit close and up front. He smiled at her for a long moment, but his eyes shifted when RavenClan entered the clearing. He was quietly relieved when Ashenstar approached, and he felt the tension melt slightly.

She nearly hissed at his loud words, noting that they were attracting attention "yes shes here, but a bit of discretion wouldn't hurt" she mewed pointedly, keeping her voice low enough that only he would hear her. "I told her about you, but she hasn't taken the news that well, she's still processing it" she mewed.

Dreamfeather had debated on whether she would go to the gathering, she had at first told Acorndrop she was staying at camp but had made the last moment decision to attend, staying near the back of the group, watching with amusement at Coyotestorm's antics. When they entered the clearing, she let her gaze scan over the other two clans. Her gaze focused on Shrikestar for a brief moment, surprising flashing thru her eye at seeing him at the roots. She had been too distracted lately to listen to any talk about whether their had been a new Willowclan leader. She shook her head and made her way thru the cats, spotting Acorndrop talking to a silver willowclan she-cat and figured that she was probably the mother of his kit, deciding to give him time she wandered until she was sitting relatively close to where the deputies would be, wanting to surprise Acorndrop when he made his way their.

He didn't have too many friends in other Clans, but he figured it'd be worthwhile to try and make some. He spotted Bramblefur sitting alone and made his way over to him. "Hey, there," he called, glancing nervously back at Lizardstone. "M-my name's Adderdash." RC Acorndrop quickly dampened at Dancingflame's retort, not realizing how loud he'd been. "Okay, I'm sorry," he whispered, glancing around desperately at the WillowClan cats to see if he could spot her. "I heard about Mothkit, Dancingflame. I'm so sorry." He drooped at the words, looking away from her and struggling to figure out what to say. "I t-tried to help. I let the medicine cat apprentice in, Baypaw? But it's...I'm just so sorry." He fell silent, unsure what to say. "If Cherrypaw's upset, I don't need to speak with her. But please, could you just show her to me? I want to see her. How's she doing? Is she alright? Healthy? Are you okay?"
