BASIC APPEARANCE: Brown-pointed tom with silvery fur and sky-blue eyes.

DETAILED APPEARANCE: A pointed tom with gentle sky-blue eyes, Dartwing's fur is short, neat, and very pale silvery-cream in color, while his points are a deep, dark chocolate-brown. Large ears frame his head and he is wiry with a slim build, giving him quite a comical appearance. This contradicts and matches the tom, as he is known to be very tidy and organized by nature, but he isn't always perfect with his spatial awareness.

PERSONALITY & DESCRIPTION: Dartwing is suitable as a medicine cat because he remembers nearly everything, with where he places his herbs physically or how he stores information mentally. From a young age he knew he was suitable for following a path in healing, dallying around the medicine cat den as a kit, especially after his parents never returned from a gruesome battle. He understood the intricacies of dealing in clan politics after experiencing such loss and knew he wanted no part in harming others; instead, he wanted to save as many as he could from his unfortunate lesson on life's cruelties. While he in no way regrets his choice, the lasting damage of that time follows him in the form of growing squeamish at the sight of blood. This can easily be seen as a grave setback in the position he's chosen for himself, but Dartwing refuses to let it stop him from fulfilling his role. This is likely the reason why he's adopted an easygoing personality, and he relatively enjoys talking if only to distract himself from those thoughts. What does come naturally for him is a high level of patience, although this is sometimes masked by his sarcastic tongue, gained from moons with his mentor. He has since grown to see her as a predominant figure in his life, like the mother he never was able to know or grow up with, and for that he is forever grateful. He truly believes that shared blood is not needed to have a strong connection, evident by this and his relationship with StarClan. This gives him perspective in dealing with his patients, so he knows the times when he should be stern and when he shouldn't. It was another tough lesson for him to learn, but lesson after lesson of coming out on top and better than before has led him to accept these challenges openly, with the knowledge that his horizons will only continue expanding.
