Silver huffed from where she was laying inside the den she shared with Kadaj. She was bored and wanted to go out, to either hunt or explore but was hesitant about what would happen. The last time she had gone out alone, she had tripped over a tree root and sprained her paw, resulting in Kadaj becoming worried about her health. She had managed to stay near the den for the past couple of days but was getting antsy just staying put. Giving off a growl, she heaved herself to her paws and slipped out of the den, blinking her eyes as she looked around, her brow slightly furrowed as she realized that the surrounding area seemed off in a way she couldn't place, it seemed smaller and not as sharp.
Shaking her head, she figured that she was just imagining it and set off along a small trail through the woods, her tail flicking back and forth behind her. Silver didn't know how long she walked for, but she just enjoyed the calmness of the world around her, her nose twitching as she picked up scents all around her. Catching the scent of a mouse she moved off of the trail, hissing slightly as she ended up crossing through a stream and some muddy patches. She sighed as she realized that the mouse scent was fading once she managed to get through the mud. Turning she intended to head back but stopped short as she realized that she couldn't distinguish which direction to go, everything looked the same.
Hesitating, she took a step forward, followed by another. She was unsure of whether she was going in the right direction or if she was just going to end up in an even worse situation than before.

They were on the move and Kressida didn't like it. Of course she liked anywhere better than the den that they'd grown up in - that had been a horrible place to recover let alone a horrible place to live - but she didn't like the instability of being on the move. But at least she was where she felt the most comfortable in their little patrol; at the head of the group, where she could be the eyes in front and protect them from anything that could be coming. Because it wasn't just her sisters that she had to keep safe now, it was Dawn too. And she owed Bella enough to keep her daughter safe.
She stopped still the moment she smelled another cat. Yes there was a chance that it could be someone friendly like Tobias had been, but there was also a chance that it could be someone like her father who was looking to hurt them. And they were better off assuming the second option and getting lucky than assuming the first and getting caught out. Lifting her tail to signal to her sisters, she glanced down at the ground until she found something she could step on to make a noise. The twig cracking echoed around the silent trees in a way that her voice might have once done in that situation, a clear sign to the other cat that they weren't alone anymore. That was all she would do for the time being unless Deja or Bella wanted to go first.

Dawn missed the den. She knew it made the rest of her family nervous, but she'd only known their home territory, and wandering around with no clue where they were going was making her anxious. She stuck close to her mother as they walked, scenting the air idly every few minutes.
When her aunt lifted her tail, and the smell of a stranger wafted towards her, Dawn stopped, eyes widening in panic. What were they supposed to do? She took a step back, watching Kressida with wide eyes and freezing in place.

Bella froze at Kressida's raised tail, scenting the air once more and feeling her fur prickle at the scent of another cat. She moved so that she was slightly in front Dawn, her gaze scanning the surrounding area with unease.
~~~~
Silver felt her ear twitch slightly as she registered a noise, but it seemed far off. Taking in the scents around her as well, she froze as she registered fresh scents, they seemed close by. She looked around but was getting the distinct feeling that everything was blurry around her once again. "anyone there?" she asked hesitantly, unsure of herself.
Bella moving towards her slightly was a comfort, since at least her sister would be able to see her signals from here. And at least the other cat's question was easy to answer. She opened her jaw and hesitated a moment before she felt safe enough to call out a "Yes," relieved when her voice sounded normal and there were no wobbles or any of the other things she hated about it now. But that was all she felt confident to say, looking at Bella and tilting her head in a clear indication that she would do the talking from there on in. As much as she hated to admit it, Kressida didn't think she'd be able to manage a proper conversation with a stranger anymore.
Dawn looked over at her mother with wide eyes. She hadn't met anyone outside of her family, and suddenly she was very excited at the prospect. "Are we going to say hi?" she whispered, looking through the trees again, trying to catch a glimpse of the cat.
