Regaining the trust of his Clanmates after the reveal that he had been unwillingly working against them had been a slow and steady process. He'd been ignored by practically everyone bar Raggedstar and Whispermoon when he'd first returned with Raggedstar broken and bleeding, and in an odd turn of events his narrow escape from death at his mother's claws had actually won him a fair bit of sympathy from many. But Eira's death seemed to have lifted those final shadows away, both from him and from the Clan as a whole, and at long last it felt as though Thicketfrost finally had a few friends back.
But there was one presence in his life who he continued to miss since his return, and enough time had passed that he knew he had to approach her himself. He and Emeraldeyes had been close through her apprenticeship, closer than perhaps any of the friendships he had other than Sootfall, but she felt chasms away from him now. Other than an ignored congratulations on her warrior name they'd hardly spoken. So when he saw her sat alone at the fresh-kill pile in the early evening he took his chance, taking a deep breath to steady himself before padding over.
"Hi," he said to catch her attention, keeping a respectable distance until she indicated he could do otherwise. "Can, err, can I join you?"

Emeraldeyes had mixed feelings about Thicketfrost's return, on one paw she had missed his presence in the clan, he had been one of her closest friends but on the other he had apparently been spying on the clan for his mother. So when he had come back, granted with the missing Raggedstar in tow she had both happiness and also anger. The news that his mother nearly killed him had brought forth more feelings of anger, directed at Whitefern instead of him but she had still avoided him.
She had pointedly ignored his previous attempt to speak, still trying to work her own feelings out. Then she had a falling out with Stormdive, leaving her feeling alone and seeking a steady presence. She had gone to her mother, like she had always done before and had expressed her conflicted feelings regarding Thicketfrost and the falling out with Stormdive. Her mother had listened and then had given Emeraldeyes some advice that she was even now still pondering, that everyone makes mistakes but what truly matters is where their loyalty and heart lay.
Emeraldeyes had woken up that day, spotting Stormdive practically stalking away from her and causing her to nearly flinch. Her mind was deep in thought as she stared at the fresh-kill pile, she didn't notice Thicketfrost's approach until he voice had her nearly jumping, her gaze snapping over to the ginger tom with slight shock. "Oh, hey." she replied awkwardly before shifting slightly "yeah, I've just been thinking" she mewed.
