The noon day sun was bright, but it brought no warmth to her pelt as she strode back into camp with the rest of her border patrol. It had been uneventful and quiet, something that she appreciated for the sake of RavenClan's sanity. There had also been no sign of the cat who had abandoned her and her son because of his own cowardice. This pleased her too. Paws drawing her towards the apprentice den, she noted the absence of her son, thankful he was out training. Her gaze slid towards her own apprentice, "Alpinepaw. Are you ready for training today?"

Alpinepaw had long been awake and out of sheer boredom, had taken to tidying up his nest, figuring that Shimmerglade would be looking for him in the den and not really wanting to irritate her by not being there. His head whipped up the second he heard her voice and his resounding, "Yes!" was out almost before she could finish her sentence. He scrambled over his nest, accidentally disturbing a couple of others in his path, and stepped into the clearing.

Shimmerglade nodded, beckoning the young tom closer with a flick of her tail before turning towards the camp entrance, paws crunching in the snow as she walked. "Normally I'd have like to go over the burrows and tunnels by now but given the snow I'm not so sure that is a safe option. So instead we are going to go over emergency plans when dealing with fires, floods, and attacks. Which will include sparring." She scanned the area ahead of them, ears pricked as she talked.

Emergency plans? Sparring? "Awesome!" he replied eagerly, excited for what he would be learning despite the chill that threatened to seep through his feet. Learning the emergency plans seemed like a really important lesson, one he knew could very likely come in handy in the near future. RavenClan had been through so much, just before his birth even, so he knew that these were very real problems. Especially if he were called to help his clanmates in an emergency, he had every intention of taking these plans to heart.
