A tail lashing in her face caused Dreamfeather to jerk back in surprise. She backpedaled until she was about three tail lengths away and narrowed her eye as she waited to see what Acorndrop would do.

Acorndrop looked up at her, panting. He used the chance to get to his paws, but he slowed in his attack. "Want to take a break?" he asked, chest heaving. "You're giving me a workout!"

Dreamfeather practically slid down to her belly at Acorndrop's words "yeah, I'm up for a break" she panted, feeling her muscles singing. Despite the fact that she felt as if she needed to drag air into her lungs, she couldn't help but feel some pride that she had managed to hold her own, she was adjusting her style of fighting to match her injury, focusing more on sound and perception than on her sight alone.

"Of course," he said, pushing to his paws. "So. Another round?" he asked, looking at her mischievously. He'd help if she wanted him to, and she'd succeed. Of that, he was absolutely positive. It was only a matter of walking down that path.
