RAVENCLAN:
Rowanmask let out a humorless laugh. "Courtesy is expected of all cats, regardless of rank." She would have gone more into the topic had the leaders not stepped forward, and she pointedly ignored the younger warrior as she sat back, eyes trained ahead as she listened. Her ears twitched at the mention of WillowClan scent at the border, and she had to fight the urge to glance at Beanfallow. Ironic that he would make a statement such as that before his Clan was called out for trespassing.
WILLOWCLAN:
Chirpsong was content to hang back at this point, waiting for the announcements to come, but when they did she couldn't help but be startled by Echostar's claim. Scents by the border? Leaning closer to Haywhisker and lowering her voice, she asked, "What is she talking about?" She hadn't patrolled the AspenClan border as of late, so she knew her scent was nowhere close, which made her wonder just who was responsible.

Cherrypaw wasn't given a chance to respond before the Gathering was called to start, so Marigoldflare just gave her another smile before she glanced up towards the leaders. Her smile didn't last long though; while Echostar's report did explain why there was no deputy present from AspenClan, the accusation of WillowClan scents on the wrong side of the border had her fur rising behind her neck and her ears flattening a little. Perhaps it wasn't right for the deputy to outwardly show her irritation in front of the three Clans but Marigoldflare thought it was an arrogant start for a leader at her first gathering to make.

WC:
Shrikestar was more glad than ever that he let Echostar go first. He didn’t know what to expect, and that made the situation dangerous. Part of him hoped that she would take it mildly at her first gathering as leader, but of course his hopes were shattered. The accusations out of her mouth froze any thought in his mind, and he stared at her in disbelief. It turned into anger as she continued, and he bristled. He never heard anything about what Echostar was claiming. His gaze swept over the WillowClan cats briefly, and he was torn, struggling on how to address it. He couldn’t let it go unchallenged, but he couldn’t let it go unaddressed, either.
“WillowClan does not take excursions out on AspenClan territory,” he growled, biting back anything sharper. “But I will have patrols reminded where the borders are marked.” He cleared his throat and shook off his irritation. “WillowClan’s prey has been plentiful. We also have four new warriors—Beanfallow, Chirpsong, Haywhisker, and Webfeather have all passed their assessments. WillowClan is stronger than ever.” Without looking at Echostar he took a step back, then directed his line of sight to Ashenstar.
-
Haywhisker’s gaze was fixed on the leaders, so he didn’t look at Chirpsong when she questioned him. He wasn’t aware of any clanmates crossing the border, but under their past few leaderships, he wasn’t surprised it was happening. It only proved that WillowClan was crumbling. Time was running out—he would have to move soon. There was a ghost of a smile on his face at that thought, but it soon vanished. Regardless, the claim from AspenClan’s leader was a bold one, and he could find mild acceptance on how Shrikestar addressed it... but he doubted it would end well.
“I don’t know,” he said quietly, frowning for her benefit. “I suspect our warrior training will be put to the test, soon.” When he looked over at the AspenClan warriors, he could see they were positively brimming with anger. His lip curled, but then he heard his name along with the others announced, and he faced forward again. He straightened himself slightly without noticing it.

Bayflower's heart plummeted as Echostar spoke. Rapidly he weaved his way through the crowd to Marigoldflare's side, pawing at her to get her attention. "Mari," he hissed under his breath. "You don't think that was me, right? I just darted across to get some catmint. I'm allowed to do that, I don't know why they'd..." He looked away, kneading the earth anxiously beneath his paws. "Should I say something? M-maybe to Echostar, after? I can't have them thinking..." He felt as if he was going to collapse. It was like he was back at the RavenClan border, a terrified apprentice tripping on his own words. He couldn't let anything bad happen because of him. Oh, poor Shrikestar.

Dreamfeather settled down when the leaders started the gathering, her ears pricking as Echostar stepped forward and then commotion that followed. She spotted a white tom seem to suddenly appear beside Marigoldflare and felt her nose twitch before she focused back on the leaders as Shrikestar stepped forward and cheered along with others when he announced the promotion of new warriors.

RAVENCLAN:
The drama unfolding before her would have normally sparked interest, but right now she would have much rather just been at home. The cold seeped into her fur and the squabble between the two other Clans did little more than agitate her. As long as it stayed between them, she wouldn't get involved. However, she knew she would have to step forward eventually, so on unsteady paws, she moved ahead of the other two leaders. "RavenClan has lost two of our cats--Raincloud and Spottedeye. We ask that StarClan honor them and the sacrifices they made to the Clan." She almost wished to end it there, and even took a step back, but it eventually hit her that the issues with AspenClan and WillowClan could inevitably hit them. Turning back, she said, "We will also not tolerate any trespassers on our own territory. Keep that in mind." She let her gaze sweep across the crowd one more time before she finally moved back.

Echostar held in a snort at Shrikestar's words, giving a small tilt of her head in acknowledgement of the new warriors. Her ears perked up as Ashenstar stepped forward, her heart squeezing at the news of two cats joining Starclan. Her ears flicked briefly as she thought she recognized the two names from the time of the flood before letting it slide away. She cast a quick glance at either leader before stepping forward again "This concludes this gathering" she mewed before jumping down, landing in a crouch and easily pushing up and shaking out her fur.

Dreamfeather felt her whiskers tremble as Ashenstar announced Spottedeye's passing, grief and sadness flashing thru her eye. She had looked up to Spottedeye as a father and a mentor, she wondered how long it would hurt everytime she thought of him.

RAVENCLAN:
Ashenstar almost wanted to take the chance to go and speak with Raggedtooth, but she knew better than to try. She doubted it would prompt much suspicion, given that they were leaders together for a majority of their leaderships, but there would be a better time. The nod she gave him was short but not rude, and she slid down the rock with as much grace as she could, moving towards Acorndrop both out of habit, but as an unintentional move for support.
WILLOWCLAN:
Chirpsong swallowed, looking rather uncomfortable as she shuffled her paws. Lifting her head higher, she looked back to Haywhisker. "Well... what happens now? You don't think AspenClan will do anything... do you?" It wasn't a strong fear of hers, but she was still apprehensive. She didn't hold any specific opinions on the other Clans, but she hadn't seen Echostar act on anything like this before, and now, her neutral impression of AspenClan was beginning to disappear.

Acorndrop listened to the gathering, concerned at Echostar's attitude regarding WillowClan. It seemed to him like AspenClan was simply looking for excuses to start something. He didn't find the behavior surprising, but it was unnerving to see a new leader act so aggressively at her first gathering. His thoughts were soon scattered when Ashenstar spoke, and he licked Dreamfeather's cheek as she shook against him, feeling another wave of grief rise as he remembered Raincloud and Spottedeye's passings. As the gathering ended, Dreamfeather left his side, promising to be back, and Acorndrop murmured an agreement. He glanced around for Cherrypaw, but he was distracted by the sudden appearance of Ashenstar. He quickly stepped towards the leader, brushing his shoulder against hers. "What game does Echostar think she's playing?" he whispered, eager to leave so they could discuss the gathering's events in private. In a slightly louder voice, he said "Ready to go home?"

Marigoldflare didn't answer Bayflower immediately, just whispered a quiet request for him to breathe into his ear and curled her tail over his back. To an onlooker it probably just looked like an older sister comforting her brother or a deputy comforting one of her cats, she was sure that no one would suspect what was truly on both of their minds. But she didn't want to take the risk. Once the Gathering had been dismissed and the murmur of the crowd was too loud for their words to be heard, she turned to him properly and said "Little Bay, if she's accusing us because of that she's in the wrong not us. You know your code, you know you're allowed to cross borders. And if she tries to hurt you she'll have all of WillowClan on her tail with me up in front. Hmm?" She smiled at the end of her quiet tirade, hoping she could instil some of her confidence into her little brother.

Bayflower remained close to his sister throughout the gathering, struggling to breathe and staring down at his paws. He wasn't worried about himself, couldn't Mari see that? "But, but what if she didn't know, I should've asked..." His breathing reached a pitch, and he stopped talking to catch his breath. "What if something happens?" How would he ever be able to live with himself then?

Flareheart held in a grin before turning and starting towards a group of WillowClan cats, her whiskers twitching as she caught sight of Haywhisker before settling down and waiting for them to start out.

Echostar wasn't in to big of a hurry to take off, letting her clan finish up their conversations and merely made her way towards Jaggedpeak, her whiskers twitching "guess we'll see what happens now" she mewed with a shrug.

Tinybreath tilted her head as she heard cats milling about once more "anyone leaving yet?" she asked, the question posed to anyone of the three cats near her. She wondered if she should get to her paws but didn't want to seem like she was lost.
