BASIC DESCRIPTION: Mottled blue-grey tom with green eyes.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION: Floodfield's pelt colour is the clear source of his name, a dark mottled grey with a blue tinge that perfectly mimics stormy floodwater. A few flecks of white frame is clear green eyes and muzzle, mixed with tinges of grey that have crept up on him over the moons. He has long fur and a pluming tail, though it has thinned a little over the moons, and his smaller than average frame does nothing to diminish the authority he carries in his confident stance.
PERSONALITY & DESCRIPTION:
Although many cats look up to Floodfield as a natural-born leader, this tom didn’t always have his heart set on the path to his current position. As a kit he would always take up the role of leader when playing games with his sister Hailfeather, and all the way through their apprenticeship the two siblings intended their lives to be spent as leader and deputy of their Clan. Floodstar’s serious and mellow personality stood him in good stead for leadership in his sister’s opinion, while her own more cheeky and lighthearted nature made her a clear choice to become her brother’s deputy. But their dreams were cruelly shattered on what was supposed to be the happiest time of their lives. The day after their warrior ceremony, the young she-cat vanished from the territory without as much as a trail to follow. It was assumed that she had either drowned in the river or had been snatched up by a passing predator, but Floodfield insisted on maintaining the search for moons after her disappearance. Hailfeather's loss sent him spiraling down into grief and depression, and it took many moons for him to make peace with his past and start looking to the future. It was at this point he decided that he was going to realise his long-lost dream of leadership to honour Hailfeather's memory, despite the fact that she wouldn’t be the cat by his side. He remains strong in the belief that she is still alive, living comfortably somewhere beyond the Clan's borders. Wanting happiness for her is enough for him to forgive her for leaving him, though it will never stop him from asking why. Despite his ambition he was always patient in waiting for his time to rise, trusting that his devotion to the Clan would be enough to earn him his goals. Floodfield’s sombre nature makes for a level head in times of crisis, and he is a calm presence in times of worry and unrest. He is known for being merciful and tolerant, willing to challenge the status quo if he believes it is for the greater good, though as his leadership wanes he has begun to question whether his preference for peace has always been the best choice of action. In the wake of the flood that nearly sent away his Clan he was forced to take a firmer stance against the other Clans, standing by his decisions with an iron will in the hope that it will show everyone that WillowClan is no pushover. While he doesn't regret any of his choices as leader, he is starting to accept that perhaps it is time for someone else to take over his position and lead his beloved Clan into the new age. But he can only hope that it doesn't lead to the undoing of everything he has ever worked for.
