PERSONALITY AND DESCRIPTION:
Depending on whether you look first at Briarpool’s pelt or her personality, her name could be seen as incredibly accurate or massively incorrect. It’s easy to see the resemblance of dappled leaves in her calico fur, a patchwork of ginger and brown tabby on a backdrop of white with wide leaf-green eyes. But there is nothing remotely thorny about her personality; life always seems that bit brighter in the perspective of someone young and Briarpool is no exception. She always has something good to say about the world around her and the cats who live in it, determined to see only the best aspects of everything and everyone. Through this she could be considered naive but in truth she can acknowledge when cats have downfalls, it’s just that she’d rather not unless it was necessary. Every day is a new opportunity for her to discover something new, be that as exciting as a story from the elders she hasn’t heard before or as simple as a new favourite stone to sunbathe on. No matter how much of the world she sees she always yearns for something more, making a bad habit of longing for the things that she can't have and asking the questions that don't have answers. However there is one thing that Briarpool loves more than any battle story or sunny spot, and that is water. She was drawn to the streams that ran across the RavenClan border since the first moment she felt the water on her paws, and since then they have become the place where she can most often be found. If asked to describe her love for the water she couldn’t put it into words, except for some sort of instinctive pull that always leads her paws back to the stony shores. Of course when it’s factored in that Briarpool’s father is a WillowClan cat then her unusual passion makes complete sense, and since this was revealed to her in the aftermath of the flood she made the decision to return to the place she'd felt most at home after the fire and claim her heritage as a member of her father's Clan. Her expectation was that crossing the border for the final time would stop her wondering about what lay beyond her territory, but she still finds herself restless about the rest of the world and unsure of her place in the Clan allegiances. What keeps her in WillowClan for the time being though is the question of whether RavenClan could hold any future for a cat born to swim.
