BASIC APPEARANCE: Black tom with green eyes.

DETAILED APPEARANCE: Stoneshade's pelt is pure black from nose to tail, with gentle pale green eyes. His long fur hides a strong and well built frame, and he never quite grew into the oversized paws he had as a kit. 

PERSONALITY & DESCRIPTION:
With a black pelt and quiet personality, it would be easy to disregard this tom. That is, if he hadn’t been born into a life of high status that many cats could only dream of. But Stoneshade has never appreciated what his parents’ positions have given him; with his mother as the deputy and his father as both the leader and medicine cat's brother, it would have been easy for him to take advantage of those privileges when he was young. More than anything else he values the rewards of hard work, striving to carve a path for himself within the Clan that doesn’t hinge on the success of his predecessors. Stoneshade’s compassionate nature makes him a good advice giver, with foresight far beyond his age and a surprisingly broad range of knowledge. Another great strength of his is in close combat, using his sheer size and strength to his absolute advantage though outside the rush of battle he can hardly stand the sight or scent of blood. He would never shy away from battle though as much as he would never instantly resort to it; even if he doesn't like something he will always put his head down and get a job done if necessary. An excellent relationship with his mentor both during and after his apprenticeship has lent him the skills to be a great teacher himself, and has the right combination of patience and self-confidence to be someone that young cats naturally look up to. He has all the traits to make an amazing leader, but Stoneshade has no intention of following in his aunt’s footsteps. This has led him to stray slightly from his family despite the close bond he still maintains with his littermates, having always preferred to make friends outside his family and forge his own separate relationships. He is very selective about those he calls friend, preferring to have a small circle of those he truly cares about around him than become the popular cat that he could so easily be. Since losing both his parents he's come to regret not spending more time with his family while he still could, and it's made him determined to live firmly in the present and appreciate even the most menial encounters. Every day brings a new opportunity for him, and he will always trust that life will take him in the right direction and focus on where he is at any time rather than worrying about the future. Above all else Stoneshade wants to bring honour to his family and Clan, and make his Clanmates remember his name with pride.
