BASIC APPEARANCE: Pale ginger tom with green eyes.
DETAILED APPEARANCE: Thicketfrost's appearance is one of the few things he always liked about himself, a sure sign that he could never be connected to the murderous history he was born into. His pelt is a muted ginger, with faint tabby markings around pale green eyes. A kithood of stress and neglect made him smaller than perhaps he should have been, and while his long fur is kept neat these days it often falls into disarray when he's going through hard times. He has a scar on one cheek and several around his throat and chest from a fight that nearly cost him his life.
PERSONALITY & DESCRIPTION: Constantly swept behind his two perfect sisters, Thicketfrost has long accepted his role as the family disappointment. Where Sorrelfire and Ivorysky are the intellectual strategists that their mother longed for, Thicketfrost is fairly average in every aspect. He’s clever without being a genius, a good hunter without being called talented, and a mediocre fighter due to his loathing of conflict. This has come from the rivalries staged between the three siblings from a young age, each trying to outdo the other to win Eira’s praise that day. The absence of love in his family has left him craving familiarity with other cats, and he will get attached quickly to those he likes while trying to stay aloof enough not feel like he's being clingy. What he really needs is someone to talk to, someone who likes him without ulterior motives and will think of what’s best for him rather than themselves. Now that his secrets are exposed and he's arguably free he tries his best to look forwards, to not be held back by the chains he was always so desperate to shed, and truly he is happier than he ever thought he could possibly be while still trapped under Eira's claws. But if he's honest with himself it's also left him feeling untethered. Where he once had a great purpose to fight towards he now just has the mundane reality of life in the Clan, with nothing to focus on other than fulfilling the duties he has as a warrior of AspenClan. Liking himself was always an act of rebellion but he's never had an issue with his average attributes except for when he's being criticised for them, and with no-one constantly beating him down anymore his confidence has grown in leaps and bounds. Of course there are still moments though where he doubts his place in the Clan he so desperately loves, when he can feel every pair of eyes on him and sense their resentment of what his parents did like thorns in his pelt. He'll hesitantly talk about it to anyone who's respectful about where he's come from, knowing that his honesty can only help his Clanmates trust his integrity and also help himself truly move on from it all. But this casual attitude hides a bitterness and self-loathing that will occasionally rear it's ugly head, asking what he did to deserve the life he was born into and what he has to do to leave it all behind. Fighting back against his mother was a great turning point for him and he bares the scars she left with undeniable pride, and even though this action won him back Raggedstar's trust he still wonders if he'll ever feel completely accepted in AspenClan. Someday the time will come where Thicketfrost either decides to keep fighting this battle all his life or decide to give it up and move on, but for now he is content to enjoy the freedom he's fought so hard to win.
