Lionpaw has been around the camp all day, having been asked to do chores by his mentor. So far, he had gotten clean moss from the medicine den in order to replace the elder’s nest, and had even checked for ticks as he had been ordered. He had even only complained about it a little. All the other apprintances had seemed to go out exploring or training, and he was stuck in camp, not being allowed to go out without an escort. He looked around for his mentor, sighing in disappointment when she was nowhere to be found. It’s not fair, he thought, lashing his tail in anger. He hadn’t even been to any other training today, and he was looking forward to hanging out with some of the apprentices, even if they didn’t totally match his age. At a loss for what to do, Lionpaw sat down, his fur fluffing up as he tried to think hard about what a warrior would do. At least they could go out on their own. He curled his fluffy tail around his paws, and decided to try to get his pelt under control for a short while, and began to groom himself, trying to keep himself from bouncing off the camp's walls

Rubyspark was in camp for a short while, relaxing after a border patrol, when her eyes scanned the camp. She was quickly growing listless after sitting around, because idle, unwanted thoughts came immediately now. She sighed, almost giving up, but her eyes locked on a golden tom who looked about the same as she felt. It was... Lionpaw. It took her a moment to remember, especially since she hadn’t paid attention to the most recent apprentices. She wandered over to him, a half-smile on her face. Better late than never to try and get to know them. “You look like you need to get out and do something. You’re allowed to leave camp, aren’t you?” She did often as an apprentice and never had a problem with it, at least.
