Darkkit was an outgoing cat by nature, not necessarily to boast but simply to learn more. His large paws were unsuited for a kit ready to run at a moment's notice, but his fur--growing longer by the day--covered them up nicely, and the little tom was able to hold onto what little dignity a kit could have as he trotted through the snow, leaving small tracks as he went. The small hole behind the nursery had become an interest as of late, and he had left through it just a few times to see the outside of camp, but there was more leading him out this time.
Was that what a rabbit smelled like? It was strange, and something that smelled both familiar but also new. After only getting a few bites of frozen mouse, it was more inviting than anything else. Distracted, the young kit followed the scent with his underdeveloped nose with what he believed to be a well-trained hunter's skill.
Far from the camp, he had no thought as to how he would find his way back.

She'd been out patrolling, waiting for the one day that Thicketfrost or Raggedstar would dare venture out too far. Unfortunately, this day was not that day, but as she passed through RavenClan territory, she noticed a little speck in the snow. A speck that was moving. Thankful for her white fur and the snow, she crouched down, blending in with the snow as she peered closer. The speck was a kit, but not just any kit. The kit looked eerily similar to... A wide grin formed on her face as she made the connection. Yes, it had been long enough now that Ashenstar would have had her kits and the young tom venturing through the snow looked to be about the right age. Judging by his appearance, it seemed that her assumption had been quite correct. To someone that wouldn't think to make the connection, they wouldn't notice the similarities in the young tom, but she did and the similarities were glaring. Her eyes scanned the territory, expecting to see Ashenstar or another RavenClan warrior following closely after him, but there was no one. This was a too perfect opportunity to not take it. Moving forward carefully not to fright the young tom, she put on a friendly face. "Well hello, little one," she mewed sweetly. "You look like a tom on a mission! What adventure brings you out here?"

Despite her efforts, Darkkit was still pretty startled when he nearly ran into the she-cat. Even an experienced cat may have had issues making her out from a distance, so it took being almost a fox-length away for him to see her clearly. He took a few steps back from instinct alone, but even then, his pelt puffed out indignantly. A stranger, on RavenClan territory? "You're not supposed to be here, ya know," he said smartly, leaning forward to sniff her paws. "Ya don't smell like us. I'll chase you out!"

She'd run out of her stock of flowers that she used to help disguise her scent, but she didn't quite care whether the Clans knew she was trespassing or not. It just meant she had to be more careful about it. "My, you've got a strong nose on you! Don't worry, I come in peace, little one. I'm from far away and silly me, I'm still not used to your borders. My name is Snowy. Could you escort me to the border?"

The she-cat talked funny, but Darkkit didn't think much of it. He just thought she was a very weird cat who didn't know where she was. It didn't stop his defensive instincts, but he did feel a surge of importance knowing that he would be the one to escort her to the border... wherever it was. "It's this way," he said confidently, despite having very little idea as to where he actually was. Thankfully he had a general direction in mind, told to him by a few warriors after his curiosity led him to ask, but it had never really proven to be important until now.
