WILLOWCLAN
REBELLION & CIVIL WAR
WillowClan is falling apart. The clan is divided by lies that have existed under the surface for moons. The lies started with an open-border policy, a murder, forbidden inter-clan romances the harboring of fugitives from other clans. Everything was lit ablaze when WillowClan's camp suffered an attack at the paws of AspenClan.
While some remained peacefully unaware, others covered their mistakes, and a few went out to seek the truth. A faction determined to unveil the secrets of the clan quietly formed and grew, determined to make changes to bring WillowClan back to the light.
Their plan—to bring the WillowClan in shadows to its knees and start the clan anew. One without secrets, one that is better and stronger, one that is proud and respected.

Phase I.
Shrikestar fakes getting his nine lives and leads WillowClan without the blessing of StarClan. He is found out, plotted against, and overthrown by the rebels. The secrets that have existed quietly are now brought into the open for all to witness. A battle for supremacy occurs between Floodfield, the previous leader, and Haywhisker, the cat leading the coup.
Phase II.
The clan is in shambles after the takeover of the rebels. Some clan members leave to find the key that might bring peace to the fractured WillowClan, while others are left stumbling in the wake of broken relationships. A counter-plan is made by burned traditionalists, and they enlist the help of others outside WillowClan with a venom that may take the whole clan down for good.
TRADITIONALIST OUTLOOK:
They absolutely believe in the warrior code and the traditional ways that leadership is passed down. The deputy becomes the next leader and so on. Therefore, the deputy that Shrikestar chose should have been the next leader. A coup to take over the leadership is generally viewed as war-mongering and power-hungry... However, the fact that Shrikestar was not a true leader without the blessings of StarClan alongside other lies would never have been known if not for the rebels bringing it to light in the first place.
REBEL OUTLOOK:
They believe in the warrior code up to a certain point. Some parts of the code remain true, while others are outdated and don't protect the clan from current issues that they face. They support a leader brought in by unconventional methods, because sometimes it takes a forceful hand to dig up buried lies and shake the roots of established corruption. The coup is accepted and supported, but their movement isn't without bloodshed, and only partially following the warrior code may lead to other problems.
