Dreamfeather watched as the gathering started ending, tho the clans still lingered as cats mingled. She hesitated a moment before giving Acorndrop a smile "I'll be right back" she mewed before slipping away into the cats. She debated internally as she wondered if she should approach Shrikestar or not, her tail tip flicking back and forth behind her in her indecision that was quickly taken from her as she very nearly ran right into the tom she was thinking of. "Oh, um hi" she mewed nervously, her paws shifting.
She felt self-conscious of her injury in a way she hadn't felt in a while, since it had been moons and her clan had gotten used to the patchy skin and scars that now covered the area her left eye had been. She had noticed that, despite the initial scaring that would forever remain, fur had started growing around it, covering most of the area now.

It was easy for Shrikestar to admit that he was shaken by the gathering. He was confused by what went down, unable to begin guessing what happened behind his awareness. His clan knew where the borders were. The warriors were teaching their apprentices. If there were any mistakes, he would know. It had to mean that AspenClan—Echostar—was lying.
Echostar. He never imagined a point in time where she would be a leader... alongside himself. She was likely genuine though. Unlike himself. If someone told him back when they first met that this would be his future, he never would have believed it.
He only felt relief when the gathering ended. He slithered down the tree, knowing that his clan would want to leave. Before he could gather them, he practically ran into a cat he never thought he’d speak to again. His eyes widened in surprise, and he sought out Marigoldflare nearby. “Lead the clan out. I’ll be right behind.”
He faced Dreamfeather after that, taking a good look at her. He immediately noticed her disfigured face, and he frowned. “You...” he faltered, quickly stopping himself from pointing out the obvious. Instead he said, “You’re okay with talking to me?” His ears flattened, and his eyes moved around to make sure no one was watching them too closely.

Holding in the flinch as she noted his gaze on her wounds, Dreamfeather felt her ears flick as she shifted her paws slightly once more. "Had to move past the anger, every body deserves a chance" she mewed softly, aware of where they were. Noting someone giving them a curious glance she spoke up a bit louder "Hows Briarpool?" figuring that inquiring about her sister might be a good excuse for talking to the WillowClan leader.
